Steps to House Raising in Ocean County New Jersey

The extremely important information that most homeowners don’t realize is that there is much more that goes into a House Lift than the actual house jacking.  There are several additional jobs and trades that are involved in every house raising, including:
  • Removing existing decks, porches, walkways, steps, and staircases
  • Removing pavers and other hardscape and storing them carefully for later reuse
  • Temporarily removing any landscaping
  • Engineering, architectural drawings, soil samples, and site surveys
  • Foundational work – either concrete foundations, pilings, or helical piles
  • Shutting off your utilities, including sending official shutoff requests to the town
  • Disconnecting utilities – electricity, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, ventilation
  • Building a new foundation
  • Constructing a new lower level
  • Installing hurricane straps and bracing where necessary
  • Painting, siding, and coating
  • Reinstalling or rebuilding decks, porches, and stairs
  • Reconnecting all utilities and raising your HVAC equipment off the ground
  • Layout
  • Plan Approval
  • Permitting
  • Inspections Services and Much More…
